Over the past month we have been delighted to welcome two new team members in our Sheffield office. Charlie Nixon joined in September after completing his MSc and Jessica Low joined in October – an experienced researcher returning to work following a career break to raise her family.
With a strong pipeline of work to deliver in the run up to Christmas and beyond, the team is busy working on a wide range of commissions. Examples of our current workload include preparing a local economic assessment, evaluating ERDF support programmes, building the evidence base to underpin the development of a new training centre and supporting the preparation of Housing Infrastructure Fund business cases. These commissions are allowing the team to apply their core skills in socio-economic baselining, economic impact assessment and making the case for public investment in line with Green Book requirements.
Our Director Kirsten Powell said: “Charlie and Jessica have arrived at an exciting time for our team. We have just secured new contracts in Yorkshire and the Humber and the North West that will provide them with opportunities to play a key role in delivering important commissions and getting a feel for the diversity of ekosgen’s workload.”
